Appointments
Who do I see?
We offer appointments as follows:
| Routine Appointments | Routine appointments are bookable anytime during opening hours, please call the surgery on 0161 339 5488 or call in person to arrange an appointment.
Routine appointments are usually booked for around 3-4 weeks in advance. As appointment slots are 10 minutes, the GP is only able to deal with one problem per appointment – you may be asked to arrange another appointment if there is more than one problem. Please note – if you are more than 10 minutes late for your appointment, it is possible you will not be seen. |
| Urgent on the day Appointments | Urgent Appointments are for patients with an acute medical problem or those who require urgent medical support.
We can not always offer an appointment with a particular GP for emergency appointments – you will be offered the first available GP. Urgent Appointments are bookable on the day (Monday – Friday), please call 0161 339 5488. We are only able to book on the day appointments over the counter for patients aged 75 and over or patients under 5 years old. |
Reception staff may gather brief details from you in order to:
- direct patients to see the most appropriate healthcare professional
- ensure you are dealt with as efficiently as possible
- help our clinicians to prioritise those in need of urgent care
Lines open at 8am daily
Please note: we are only able to book appointments over the counter for patients aged 75 and over or patients under 5 years old.
CANCELLATIONS
If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else.
